Since acquiring the extec C12, MGR have been busy putting it to work around the province. It was recently involved in the new roundabout at Dromore in County Down where it was brought on to the site by the contractors TJ Loughlin, who had to cut through rock. Some 25,000 tonnes were crushed to size and used in the construction of the carriageway.

The appeal of the Extec, is that it can work on any given site, crushing material to two, three or four inch for use on filling in footpaths, roads or whatever. The savings can be significant, it means the contractor doesn't have to transport lorry loads of rubble off site.

The C12 is extremely manoeuvrable and can be readily be transported on a low loader, adding a certain flexibility to taking on short term contracts.
